Epack onboard eco-driving/rational driving GPS box - ERLA TECHNOLOGIES

Epack onboard eco-driving/rational driving GPS box

Onboard your vehicles – lorries, buses, construction machinery or cars - the Epack GPS box allows you to analyse routes and to provide eco-driving solutions for more rational driving.

Erla Technologies SAS’s engineers have developed an exclusive device which can, without any need for drivers to take action, transmit the mileages covered and the journeys carried out by your vehicle when they visit the fuel pumps. This innovative solution, thanks to a box which can be rapidly fitted in your vehicles (only a 12/24V power supply is required), allows you to calculate the fuel consumption and usage of your fleet. The Epack module functions without any need to take out a subscription and can be installed in just a few minutes. It is economical and reliable - this innovation is an essential tool for any company which is concerned about its costs.

In order to go into more detail with Epack software, fleet managers are able to recover and analyse a range of data when the driver brings his vehicle to the service station. When the driver arrives at the distribution pump for diesel, red diesel or other fluids, the sensor fitted to the MODULIS dispensing equipment identifies the vehicle and downloads all the required data since the last time the vehicle visited the pump.

The Epack system recovers data regarding:

  • Mileage covered since the last refuelling stop
  • Vehicle journey time
  • Stopping time
  • GPS data for routes covered by the driver
  • Fuel consumption since the last diesel refuelling stop, for example

All of this data is subsequently processed by the software and thus allows managers of vehicle fleets to calculate routes which optimise consumption of diesel, 95 and 98 RON unleaded petrol and other petroleum products.

Fleet managers thereby have control over consumption of hydrocarbons and can offer their drivers new means of more eco-friendly driving.
